The City Square Meritage Homes, Inc. community project has become Irvine’s first all-electric Net-Zero Energy townhome community in Southern California. The project is Energy Star 3.2 Certified, exceeding California’s Title 24 building codes, EPA Indoor airPLUS Qualified Homes, added insulation for noise reduction, and a major focus on energy efficiency. ISE Structural Engineers provided structural engineering services besides the post-tensioned foundation. The three-story 40-unit 12,000 square-foot apartment project was designed alongside KTGY Group, Inc. architects, and completed in 2020.
